Home for a rest

On January 8th, I finally began to make my way back to Canada for the first time since the beginning of my first work contract in August 2009. It had been a long time coming and I made sure that I would be going home for as long as possible. I negotiated with my school to make sure that I could get the longest amount of vacation days in a row as possible. In the end, I was able to get off almost a month, from January 8 until February 6th, including weekends. Although it meant that I had to give one of my vacation weeks in February to camp, it was worth it, to be able to come back home for a longer amount of time.
It was slightly difficult to leave all of my best friends behind me in Seoul for a month especially as both Helen and Adira are both leaving Korea near the end of February. :( Fortunately they were both there along with a bunch of my other good friends to see me off before I left.
The flight from Seoul, South Korea to Toronto, Canada is a HUGE journey. It is literally flying around the planet to the other side of the world. The flight itself is around 15hours long plus the time difference. That doesn't include getting to the airport, checking in, and even stopping over if you don't have a direct flight.... So in reality, the total traveling time is close to 25+ hours plus the time difference. Thus was the reality of my travel experience.
It was also the beginning of my adventure back in Canada.
